You Said, We Did

The College holds regular focus groups with students from across the organisation to gather feedback about their experience of studying with us. Below is the latest list of concerns raised and what we have done, or are doing, to rectify them:

There is a fault with the electrical doors in the 14/16 College.

We have fixed the doors.

There is no soap in the 14/16 College toilets.

We have supplied soap and will make sure it is topped up.

Concerns about the food on offer.

  • The first floor (Balliol building) canteen staff have undergone customer service training.
  • Various meetings with first floor (Balliol building) Canteen Manager and Vice Principal have taken place.
  • The first floor (Balliol building) Canteen Manager will attend all future focus group meetings.

Concerns about smoking across the college.

  • A Smoking Awareness Week will taken place on the 24th February 2020.
  • A review of the use of signs across the college will take place.

A printer is broken on the sixth floor of the Balliol building.

The printer has now been fixed.

We would like a quiet area in the college during breaks and lunch time.

We identified an area in the college and this will be trialled after February half term.

We would like a gaming club.

A gaming club will start after February half term.

We would like a debate club.

A debate club will start after February half term.

Various issues with IT systems.

We have setup a focus group to meet with the Head of Services on Wednesday 26th February 2020.
