Worried about how you might afford your travel or childcare costs for College? Don’t!
Here at Hugh Baird College we have schemes in place to help support those students that may find it more difficult to cover the costs of participating in further education, these include help with things such as tuition fees, childcare and travel.
However, funds are limited and will be targeted at those most in need. You should apply as soon as possible because funds are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

In accordance with guidelines from the Education Funding Agency (EFA), students who are aged 19+ with learning difficulties/disabilities can be offered a funded place on a Level 1 programme if they have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHC).
You can get application forms and full details about financial support from The POD located on the ground floor of the Balliol building.
The team offer a drop-in service every day in The POD and are also available for pre-booked 1-to-1 appointments. There are a number of ways to book an appointment with the Student Finance team:
