Nominations are now open for those wishing to put themselves forward for the election of Higher Education (HE) Student Governor.
Our Governing Body (known as Hugh Baird Corporation) works as a team to set the strategic direction of the College and is made up of representatives from a variety of backgrounds and sectors and their experience and strategic skills enable them to lead and direct the College.
The Governing Body follows the rules and procedures set out in the Instrument and Articles of Government and has agreed that there will be 18 members , including the Principal, 2 student members, 1 member of the teaching staff and 1 member of the non-teaching staff.

How do I become a Student Governor?
If you are interested in becoming a student Governor, you will need to fill in an application form below. You will need to ask two other students to nominate you, and fill in the bottom section of the form with their details and signatures. The deadline for nominations is 10am on Monday 22 September 2021.
What happens if there are more than two nominations?
We will hold a ballot where students can vote to choose their preferred two Student Governors.
