All students are automatically members of the library. You just need your College ID card.

Loans

College students can borrow up to 8 books at a time. Books are borrowed initially for 3 weeks and can renewed (for another 3 weeks) 3 times.
• University and Access students can borrow up to 15 books at a time. Books are borrowed initially for 3 weeks and can renewed (for another 3 weeks) 6 times.

Renewals
To renew your books come and see us in any LSC or email library@hughbaird.ac.uk.

Reservations
If a book you want is on loan to somebody else then we can reserve it for you. Once the book has been returned we will let you know so you can come and collect it.

Late Books
If you have book that is overdue you will be contacted by email, teams message and then letter. If you fail to return or lose a book you may be asked to pay for a replacement copy.

Catalogue
To find the books we have in stock, as well as ebooks you can access on any device, visit the library catalogue.

Book Requests
If we do not have the books in stock that you need please get in touch with us via email: library@hughbaird.ac.uk.

Issuing/Returns/Renewals
Books can be issued, returned and renewed via the self-issue machines or by the LSC staff at the Help Desks. To renew your books from outside the LSCs please email library@hughbaird.ac.uk.
